Åre is Sweden’s biggest and most popular ski resort, so the local nightlife offers plenty to do in the evenings. It is a short drive from Kall when the ice road is open and offers an exciting range of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. For the more discerning diner, Fäviken, a beautiful country estate, lies between Åre and Kall and is home to one of Sweden’s 3 Michelin starred restaurants. We will do all we can to help arrange any element of your stay.
In the winter season there are more than 60 restaurants and cafés in Åre, many more than you would expect in a village of its size. The selection is varied and there is something for everyone, whatever your taste or budget. Modern Swedish cuisine with international influences is widely available and there are also restaurants with Japanese, Italian, Greek and American style menus. Many restaurants use locally and sustainably produced ingredients in their dishes.
After a day on the ice you simply have to experience après ski, Åre style. Live music and lots of people. Don’t miss Fjällgården, Bygget or Dippan. There are quieter alternatives as well.
Bars & Clubs
During the winter season Åre has the pulse of a big city after dark. Bars and nightclubs line the streets and there is a full schedule of DJs, cover bands and well-known artists performing all season. During the summer there is often live music on the weekends so you can dance all night long.
